Package Description

Stride.CommunityToolkit

Helpers and extensions for the Stride Game Engine, for code-only projects and Game Studio projects alike. Thin wrappers over Stride's own APIs: they shorten the common tasks without hiding the engine. What's inside: - Code-only bootstrap: game.Run(start, update), SetupBase3D / SetupBase2D, default graphics compositor, camera, light and ground in one call - Entity, Game, Camera, Transform, Model and Script System extensions: component search, LookAt, screen-to-world rays, delays, repeats and timers - Procedural primitives (cube, sphere, capsule, cylinder, cone, torus, teapot, plane and 2D shapes) with materials, no assets required - MeshBuilder and TextureCanvas for building meshes and textures in code - On-screen text: DebugOverlay (scalable, high-DPI aware, per-line background), EntityTextComponent and WorldTextComponent - Camera controllers for 3D (fly) and 2D (pan and zoom) scenes with built-in key help - Easing functions, math and random helpers, collection helpers - WindowsDpiManager: opt the process into per-monitor DPI awareness from code, no app.manifest needed, and check that the declaration took (Windows only; a no-op elsewhere) - Brings in Stride.AssetCompiler as a build-only dependency: a code-only project has no assets, but the engine's shaders and default font still have to be compiled into its data folder, and this reference is what makes that happen Physics helpers are in Stride.CommunityToolkit.Bepu (recommended) and Stride.CommunityToolkit.Bullet. Vector shapes with pixel-constant outlines are in Stride.CommunityToolkit.Shapes, and immediate-mode 3D debug primitives in Stride.CommunityToolkit.DebugShapes. On Linux, add Stride.CommunityToolkit.Linux for the asset compiler's native libraries. Stride compatibility (each toolkit version is built for one Stride release): - Stride 4.4: this version - Stride 4.3: 1.0.0-preview.62 - Stride 4.2: 1.0.0-preview.61 Documentation: https://stride3d.github.io/stride-community-toolkit/ Source and 50+ runnable examples: https://github.com/stride3d/stride-community-toolkit

Stride.CommunityToolkit.ImGui

Dear ImGui for Stride through Hexa.NET.ImGui: an ImGuiSystem that renders ImGui over the scene and feeds it Stride's keyboard and mouse input, plus ready-made debug windows. What's inside: - ImGuiSystem: create it once after the graphics device exists; every window added afterwards is drawn through it - BaseWindow: derive from it to make your own window in a few lines - HierarchyView (scene tree with search), Inspector (read and edit any object's fields and properties live), PerfMonitor (frame time, memory, draw calls and per-thread sample strips) - ImGuiExtension: using-block helpers for windows, child regions, menus, combos, tooltips, columns and IDs, and Stride textures as ImGui images Depends on the Hexa.NET.ImGui package. Stride compatibility (each toolkit version is built for one Stride release): - Stride 4.4: this version - Stride 4.3: 1.0.0-preview.62 - Stride 4.2: 1.0.0-preview.61 Documentation: https://stride3d.github.io/stride-community-toolkit/ Source and 50+ runnable examples: https://github.com/stride3d/stride-community-toolkit

Stride.CommunityToolkit.DebugShapes

Immediate-mode debug shapes for Stride: draw lines, arrows, cubes, spheres, half spheres, capsules, cylinders, cones, circles, quads and bounds from any script, for one frame or for a set time, and they disappear when you stop drawing. What's inside: - ImmediateDebugRenderSystem, registered with game.AddDebugShapes(): DrawLine, DrawArrow, DrawCube, DrawSphere, DrawCapsule, DrawCylinder, DrawCone, DrawCircle, DrawQuad, DrawBounds and more, solid or wireframe, with or without depth test - Thousands of shapes per frame in a handful of instanced draw calls: no entities, models or assets involved - Works in code-only and Game Studio projects; the render feature is added to the graphics compositor for you Stride compatibility (each toolkit version is built for one Stride release): - Stride 4.4: this version - Stride 4.3: 1.0.0-preview.62 - Stride 4.2: 1.0.0-preview.61 Documentation: https://stride3d.github.io/stride-community-toolkit/ Source and 50+ runnable examples: https://github.com/stride3d/stride-community-toolkit

Stride.CommunityToolkit.Linux

The Linux package for code-only Stride projects. What's inside: - Brings in Stride.AssetCompiler as a build-only dependency. A code-only project has no assets, but the engine's shaders and default font still have to be compiled into its data folder, and this is the package that makes that happen - Copies the native libraries the asset compiler needs on Linux into the build output, keyed off a linux-x64 RuntimeIdentifier Set <RuntimeIdentifier>linux-x64</RuntimeIdentifier> in the consuming project. Use Stride.CommunityToolkit.Windows on Windows. Stride compatibility (each toolkit version is built for one Stride release): - Stride 4.4: this version - Stride 4.3: 1.0.0-preview.62 - Stride 4.2: 1.0.0-preview.61 Documentation: https://stride3d.github.io/stride-community-toolkit/ Source and 50+ runnable examples: https://github.com/stride3d/stride-community-toolkit
