Installation and Configuration
The installation of the extension is a two part process, where you have to employ both the Episerver platform and the Vurbis Marketplace. The steps for the Vurbis Marketplace are handled by a Vurbis support representative. Once you are ready with the Episerver part, you can send an email to support@vurbis.com and they will help you during the rest of the installation process. Here are the steps from start to finish.
Episerver
- Install the Nuget Package or copy the .dll directly to your environment
- Create an admin account in Episerver and write this down somewhere
- Send the admin account credentials and your shop URL to support@vurbis.com or a dedicated representative from Vurbis assigned to your project.
Vurbis Marketplace
- Login to the portal https://beta.vurbismarketplace.com/login
- Click on the Settings tab to expand it and then click on your organization name below it
- Check the top right corner for the submenu and click on Modules
- Under modules go to the Punchout tab
- On the punchout page add the Shop URL and the Episerver Admin Account
- Don’t forget to hit Save
- Lastly click on Configure, this will configure and connect to the extension automatically
Usage
Since you installed the PunchOut extension, you will most likely have a customer that requires it. If so you might be able to get access as a supplier, to their procurement platform (eg. Ariba, Coupa etc.). If not you can use our Vurbis test tool to reproduce the steps.
- Click on Organizations and then hit the magnifying glass of the buyer organization you want to test with.
- Check the top right menu and click on Punchout
- Click on the Test Roundtrip button for profile 1, the setup URL looks like this: https://episervertest.test/punchout/apirequest/some_connection_id After a while it will redirect to the shop and log you in automatically.
- You can shop as usual, but once you reach the cart page you should see a Punchout button, which will send the cart back to the Vurbis Marketplace test tool.
