## Breaking Changes

### Node.js npm package name change

English-region documentation previously used an incorrect `@fuxinsoft/...` scope. For v4.0, install and `require`/`import` must use `@foxitsoftware/foxit-pdf-conversion-sdk-node`:

**Action required:** Replace the old package name, reinstall dependencies, and verify that Node.js samples and projects load the native module.

## New Features and Enhancements

### PDF ↔ Markdown

- Add PDF-to-Markdown conversion via `foxit::conversion::pdf2md::PDF2Md::ConvertToMarkdown`, configurable via `PDF2MdSettingData` (table format, headers/footers, bold/italic retention, skipping scanned pages). Requires the `PDF2MD` module license.
- Add Markdown-to-PDF conversion via `foxit::conversion::md2pdf::Md2PDF::ConvertFromMarkdown`, configurable via `Md2PDFSettingData` (page size and margins, base font size, custom font path, style JSON, font embedding). Requires the `MD2PDF` module license.

### PDF to Office

- Improve dual-layer and scanned PDF-to-Word performance and image-only page handling
- Reduce unnecessary PDF-to-PPT output file-size growth
- Improve Lao, Myanmar, Khmer, and Thai font support in PDF-to-Word; suggested default fonts are Lao DokChampa, Myanmar Text, MoolBoran, and Thai Angsana New (DokChampa, MoolBoran, and Angsana New usually require a separate install)
