Communication Between Processes Protocol
Communication Between Processes Protocol (hereby abbreviated to CBPP) is a protocol that enables applications to share data between each other. It is built on top of the NT Global Atom Table and allows for an unlimited number of applications to join a 'share'. These facilitate the sharing of data. The protocol has built in trust and verification of all items within a share via a shared-secret. Within the share, any application can get, and delete, an item whilst any application with the shared-secret can add to the share. CBPP integrates a segmentation algorithm that allows for large byte arrays to be pushed to a share without any application-defined programming.
Because of its use of the Global Atom Table, any application running on the system, regardless of integrity or user-level, can facilitate the sharing of data with other applications.
The protocol at V1.0 does not offer any encryption of the items and care must be taken as any application can see the data within a share, even if they cannot add data to it.

Large items
Some items can't be stored in the global atom table because they are larger than 255 characters (actually less as CBPP adds structure to each table entry). In these cases, you can use the "Large item" set of functions. Large items have no character limit and are segmented.
