Booolean.Dubnium.MSSQL 1.1.95 License Info

Booolean.Dubnium.MSSQL 1.1.95

Dubnium Software Licence and Terms of Use

Copyright (c) 2025 Bala Booolean. All rights reserved.

"Dubnium" or "the Software" means the dubnium-cli .NET tool, the
Booolean.Dubnium.MSSQL library, the Dubnium web adapter, their source code,
and their documentation. "The Owner" means Bala Booolean and Booolean.
"You" means the person or organisation installing or using the Software.

By installing or using the Software you accept these terms. If you do not
accept them, do not install or use the Software.

1. Licence to use

The Owner grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to
install the Software from its official distribution channel (for example
`dotnet tool install --global dubnium-cli` from nuget.org) and to use it, in
line with the tier rules in section 2.

This licence does not transfer ownership. The Owner keeps all rights not
expressly granted here.

2. Free, registered and paid commands

The Software's commands fall into three tiers:

  a. Free commands may be used by anyone, without registration or payment.
  b. Registered commands require a registered Dubnium account.
  c. Paid commands require a registered Dubnium account with an active paid
     subscription.

The tier of each command is shown in the Software's documentation and in the
output of `dbm help`. The Owner may move a command between tiers, add or
remove commands, and change subscription prices or terms in a later version.
A change does not take away what you have already paid for during a
subscription period that has already started.

You must not use a registered or paid command without the registration or
subscription it requires, share your registration code or account with
anyone else, or let anyone else use them.

3. Restrictions

Unless the Owner gives you prior written permission, you must not:

  a. redistribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or publish the Software or
     any modified version of it;
  b. copy or reuse the source code, in whole or in part, in another product;
  c. bypass, disable or interfere with the licence check, registration, or
     any other copy-protection mechanism;
  d. reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where
the law expressly allows this despite this restriction.

Being able to read the Software's code (for example because .NET assemblies
can be inspected) does not give you any right beyond those in this licence.

4. Not for production use without a backup

The Software changes database schemas and data. The Owner does not recommend
using it against any live or production environment unless you have a
current, tested backup of every database and system it can affect, and you
have tested the same operation in a non-production environment first.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether the Software is suitable for
your purpose, for reviewing every script it runs or produces, and for
keeping backups.

5. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY
KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND
NON-INFRINGEMENT. THIS APPLIES TO FREE, REGISTERED AND PAID COMMANDS ALIKE;
PAYING FOR A SUBSCRIPTION DOES NOT CREATE A WARRANTY.

The Owner does not warrant that the Software, its output, its comparison
reports, or its documentation are correct, complete, or free of errors, or
that the Software will run without interruption. Output from the Software
may be wrong or misleading; you must check it before relying on it.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OWNER OR ANY
CONTRIBUTOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN
CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE
SOFTWARE OR ITS USE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF
DATA; DAMAGE TO DATABASES, SYSTEMS OR SOFTWARE; DOWNTIME; LOSS OF PROFIT,
REVENUE OR BUSINESS; OR DECISIONS MADE ON THE BASIS OF MISLEADING OR
INCORRECT OUTPUT. THIS APPLIES WHETHER THE SOFTWARE WAS USED FREE OF CHARGE
OR UNDER A PAID SUBSCRIPTION, AND EVEN IF THE OWNER WAS TOLD THAT SUCH
DAMAGE WAS POSSIBLE.

Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded entirely, the Owner's
total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software in the
twelve months before the claim arose, or zero if you paid nothing.

7. Termination

This licence ends automatically if you break any of these terms. When it
ends you must stop using the Software and uninstall it. Sections 4 to 7
continue to apply after it ends.

8. Third-party components

The Software uses third-party libraries that are distributed under their own
licences. Those licences apply to those libraries; nothing in these terms
restricts your rights under them.
